• SUNJOM Flip — biggest strength: a 360° rotatable flip charging case with a built-in LED power display, so you can open it one-handed and see your battery level without guessing.
• SUNJOM Flip — biggest trade-off: the spec sheet lists Bluetooth 5.4 and Hi-Fi sound with "noise reduction," but not active noise cancelling, so it's a leaner feature set than the SGNICS pair.
• SGNICS Earbuds — biggest strength: a 2.01-inch touchscreen charging case paired with hybrid active ENC noise cancelling, dual dynamic drivers and dual-device switching.
• SGNICS Earbuds — biggest trade-off: more hardware means more to learn, and the case is bulkier than a simple flip lid.
• Pick SUNJOM Flip if you want a light, gym-and-travel pair with the simplest possible controls and the longest claimed total runtime (up to 40 hours).
• Pick SGNICS Earbuds if you take a lot of calls in noisy places, juggle a phone and a laptop, and want on-case touch controls.
The SUNJOM Flip is built around one idea: make the case as easy to live with as the buds. The 360° rotatable flip lid opens with one hand, and the built-in LED display shows power at a glance — a small thing that matters when you're walking to the gym with a bag in the other hand. It's also black, plastic-bodied, in-ear, and pocket-sized, which keeps it in the "toss it in and forget it" category.
On audio and connectivity, the sheet lists Bluetooth 5.4 with a 10-meter range, one-step pairing, 32-ohm impedance and 100 dB sensitivity. Bluetooth 5.4 is the current mainstream version, so pairing with iOS and Android should be quick and stable, and low latency helps when you're watching video. The "Hi-Fi Sound" claim covers deep bass and reduced background noise — note this is noise reduction, not the hybrid active ENC that SGNICS advertises, so don't expect the same level of call isolation in loud places.
Battery is the headline: up to 40 hours total playtime with the case. For workouts, commuting and travel, that's a generous cushion. The fit is lightweight and ergonomic with multiple ear tips, and touch controls handle playback, volume, calls and the voice assistant. Adults and teens are the stated audience.
SGNICS Earbuds: Who It's For
The SGNICS Earbuds (model LX50) go the other direction: they pile features into the case. The 2.01-inch touchscreen handles volume, track skipping, call handling and voice assistant activation, so you can control playback without touching your phone. If you've ever fumbled for your phone mid-workout, that's a genuinely useful design choice.
The bigger differentiator is call quality. Hybrid active ENC noise cancelling with a built-in microphone is designed to cut ambient noise on the subway, at the gym or on busy streets, so your voice comes through more clearly on the other end. This is the clearest functional gap between the two products: SUNJOM advertises noise reduction, SGNICS advertises active ENC for calls. If you're on calls all day, that's the spec that matters.
Audio is handled by dual dynamic drivers with stereo sound and enhanced bass, and the sheet lists AAC/SBC codecs — AAC in particular is a step up for sound quality on iOS devices. Connectivity covers iOS and Android with dual-device switching and ultra-low latency, so you can jump between phone and computer without re-pairing. Battery is about 5 hours per charge and up to 40 hours with the case, with Type-C fast charging.
Comfort is framed around an ergonomic in-ear shape that stays put during movement and is light enough for long wear. The case material is ABS plastic, black. One more practical note: the sheet lists a 60-day return/replacement warranty, which is worth knowing if you're buying blind. Buy it if calls, multitasking and on-case controls are your priorities. Skip it if you want the smallest, simplest case and the longest per-charge specs.
• Clearest calls in noisy places → SGNICS Earbuds. Hybrid active ENC with a built-in mic is the only active noise-cancelling option of the two.
• Longest single-charge use → SGNICS Earbuds. About 5 hours per charge, versus a total-runtime figure only for the SUNJOM.
• Simplest, most pocketable case → SUNJOM Flip. A one-hand flip lid with an LED power readout is the least fiddly design here.
• Most controls without your phone → SGNICS Earbuds. The 2.01-inch touchscreen covers volume, tracks, calls and the assistant.
• Two devices at once → SGNICS Earbuds. Dual-device switching between phone and computer is listed; the SUNJOM sheet doesn't mention it.
• Best fit for the gym and travel → SUNJOM Flip. Lightweight, ergonomic, multiple ear tips, 10-meter Bluetooth range, built for movement.
• Better codec support → SGNICS Earbuds. AAC and SBC are named; AAC helps on iOS.
• Warranty confidence → SGNICS Earbuds. A 60-day return/replacement policy is stated on the spec sheet.
In my opinion, the SGNICS Earbuds are the stronger buy for most people, because active ENC for calls, dual-device switching and AAC support cover the situations where cheap earbuds usually disappoint. The touchscreen case is a bonus, not a gimmick, if you hate reaching for your phone. That said, I'd pick the SUNJOM Flip if simplicity is the point — the flip lid, LED readout and lightweight build make it the easier pair to grab and go, and it's the one I'd hand to someone who just wants music and calls without thinking about settings. Check the current price on Amazon before deciding, since value depends on what each is going for today.
SGNICS Earbuds, based on the specs. They list hybrid active ENC noise cancelling with a built-in microphone for reducing ambient noise. The SUNJOM Flip lists Hi-Fi sound with noise reduction, which is a lighter claim.
Do both last 40 hours?
SGNICS Earbuds. The 2.01-inch touchscreen case handles volume, track switching, calls and voice assistant. The SUNJOM Flip relies on touch controls on the buds themselves.
The SUNJOM Flip is the more natural fit on paper — lightweight, ergonomic with multiple ear tips, and a compact flip case. The SGNICS Earbuds also advertise a secure in-ear design for active movement, so either works if you don't need the touchscreen.
