Reflective Essay 2
Commitment to incorporating the process and outcomes of relevant scholarship and work- based practice
Teaching and learning process is depending on each other, just as a teacher teaches he or she learns a new knowledge from it and vice-versa. I always learned a new lesion while teaching a topic by using relevant and appropriate examples. And I believe, an innovative educator will teach as he is carrying out a performing art. The performance he practices to engage learners into the topic while teaching in the classroom. The variations in his facial expressions, voice modulations, appropriate hand gesture and the whole of him, etcetera become part of his particular teaching technique. This practice also benefits the learner to get a better understanding of the topic taught in the classroom. The modification in the shared classroom with a blackboard into well-equipped with multi-media can inspire learners to embrace a more inherent direction to learn. Learners are capable of engrossing more audio-visual facts and exciting visuals in a multi-media lecture hall than in the outmoded lecture hall (Liping, 2009).
At pearl academy, I practiced while teaching in PG Communication Design course, to make learners ready for the design industry. This practice also helped me to develop an attitude of teachers and learners to be as a team and create learning friendly healthy environment in the classroom. The design industry always looks for outstanding, fresh and innovative designer’s input from the better experience for the world. It is a challenge to improve a design attitude through the robust and appropriate design learnings into the learners who are from various background. Design is in the middle of information and understanding. To understand the experience in technology, one has to design an affordance connection (Richard, 2019). Learners need to learn something fresh that has never been discovered or practiced without the expert guidance of the teacher. A good teacher makes sure that the takeaway from his or her teaching technique in the classroom is well-planned. Based on this philosophical method should be practiced for a better learning outcome of any course in academics. Learning is an evolutionary and progressive process that increases the level of the profession through contribution in the peer group of new knowledge and through methodical as well as social exchange.
I always practiced thinking process and teaching planning to be aligned with the expected outcome from the appropriately implemented teaching methods. The thinking process which is derived from constructivist learning model and the advance thinking from instructional design literature. A model in teaching that distinguishes the learner’s awareness and understanding which is based on their own prerequisite experiences. Hence, constructivism encompasses a combination of theories but all have in collective the importance of the learner's actions in generating meaning. These and associated philosophies have significant effects on valuation and teaching. Intended inventers for their part have highlighted arrangement between the element, component of a course or aims and the objectives for evaluating learner enactment. The “enactments of understanding” chosen in the objectives are thus used to methodically line up the teaching procedures and the valuation. The method is explained with reference to a specialized development component in instructive mindset for educators, but the model may be generalized to most components, plans or programs in higher education (Biggs, 1996).
The Exam Board at Pearl Academy guarantees that the assessment procedure is impartial, and the learners' outcome is as per the ethics. Unless consented by the Exam Board, all the grades are provisional, because of Pearl Academy's commitment to upholding its academic ethics and increasing the quality of its learning and teaching establishment. In May 2019, the External Exam Board committee visited Mumbai campus for examining the learner's work, final outcomes of the learning, various experiences that we planned for the learners apart from the institutional instructions, academic record, Cohort achievement & cohort progression, teaching methods that my team and I have used for successful completion of PG Communication Design course. My confidence in teaching and mentoring got boosted when the external examiner from the international validation body appreciated my way of sharing positive criticism and remarks which were motivating and encouraged learners (Stefanou, et al., 2010) to achieve specific learning outcomes through formative and summative feedback[1] on learner’s classroom work.

[1] Formative evaluation is usually carried out during progress or assignment. It is an analytical form of valuation which allows you to review or develop teaching and learning. Summative assessment is commonly carried out at the completion of a course or assignment (Nuhfer and Kipp, 2003).
