Bio
I am an associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Korea University (Republic of Korea). Before coming to Korea University, I was a (tenure-track) faculty member in the Department of Health Management and Policy at Drexel University (United States) and the Department of Health Convergence at Ewha Womans University (Republic of Korea).
I am a health economist and a health services researcher with particular expertise in payment and delivery care systems. I have the following 3 research interests:
Understanding the impact of policy interventions on health care with a focus on value-based payment models and alternative payment models.
Incorporating social determinants of health into health care to improve health and well-being.
Developing new methodologies grounded in policy through use of simulation modeling, machine learning, and big data analytics.
