You can easily draw this sunflower step by step with the help of this template.
In addition to a pencil (HB or H2), you will need an eraser-proof pencil for the contours, a dividers and good colored pencils.
Trace the two smaller circles with the pencil. Then draw eight petals around the middle circle. You can use the drawing pen right away for this if you are skilled. Otherwise, use the pencil and correct the drawing if necessary. When the petals are perfectly in place, draw the contours with the pencil.

Finally, after hundreds of graphite tutorials I am moving on to charcoal! I consider this starting from scratch since I have never drawn a purely charcoal drawing using a set technique. Starting in the middle of your page, draw a circle. Doodle overlapping shapes to form the petals of the sunflower. Keep the petals looking different- some skinnier than the others to make it look interesting.
TIP: This is where using a pencil comes in handy. We can easily draw and overlap more and more petals to create a sunflower with many layers. Draw as many petals as you wish till your sunflower looks happy to you.
TIP: While coloring the sunflowers, add a shadow to the petals that lay in the layer underneath. If you have more layers, make sure you add shadows to each layer beneath. This will make the flower look rich and full!
As you can see in the picture, we will be drawing in some curved lines that look a bit like half circles. Try to add a good amount of these little lines into the outer circle to create more great texture!
