This Privacy Policy explains how Sundose (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our mobile application (“App”). Sundose is designed to work directly on your device. We avoid collecting, storing, or transferring personal data unless a feature cannot function without it — and even then, we process it temporarily and delete it immediately after use.
What Information We Handle
Sundose is built around a local-processing model. Most information never leaves your device and is cleared as soon as it is no longer needed.
Location Data (With Permission)
Certain features—such as UV index calculations, sunlight exposure estimation, or real-time recommendations—require access to your approximate or precise device location.

Not uploaded or stored on servers
Not logged or kept after the calculation
Never shared with third parties
Stays entirely on your device
You may disable location access at any time in your device settings, although some features may not function without it.

This information is used strictly for compatibility or debugging issues you report.
It is not stored, not linked to your identity, and not transmitted off your device.
During normal use, the App may generate temporary data required for functionality, such as:

If you choose to provide optional information—such as skin type or personal preferences—this data remains stored locally on your device and can be removed at any time by resetting the App or reinstalling it.

upload personal data to servers (except as required by law or by your explicit request)
track users across apps or websites
use data for advertising or marketing
share data with third parties (except under the limited exceptions above)
store personal data outside your device
Information is used only for core App functionality, such as:
generating UV-related calculations
estimating exposure or tanning recommendations
ensuring features operate correctly on your device
helping diagnose issues you manually report to us
All processing is purpose-limited, short-term, and performed locally.
Data Storage and Deletion
We do not maintain databases that store your personal information.
All sensitive data is processed locally and ephemerally.
Information such as:
location readings
UV calculations
temporary logs
exposure timers
is held only in memory and automatically removed when:
the calculation ends, or
you close the App.
You can delete any optional preferences or settings at any time by:

Sundose is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can remove it immediately.
Because Sundose stores most data only on your device and processes it momentarily, our primary security approach is data minimization.
While no digital system is completely risk-free, we design the App to limit exposure by not transmitting or retaining personal information whenever possible.
The App may contain links to external resources. We do not control their content or privacy practices, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies separately.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the App’s features change.
When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
