~For Dung Nguyen
Oh, your eyes,
without a doubt,
your eyes are us—
Da Nang to Cam Ranh
in all that we are different.
I was never the oldest,
cast down
to purgatory,
in just under an hour.
Your tongue trips on English tar:
Found you.
Long time.
Too long.
I love my young shitter.
Where my fodder?
I want meet him, to see him.
I made promises
like Nixon and Ford:
Soon. You’ll meet our father soon.
