The SRC Youth Summer Series is a three-rodeo points series for kids 18 and under. Contestants compete in four age divisions (age determined as of January 1 of current year):
Peewee (6 and under)
Wrangler (7-10)
Junior (11-14)
Senior (15-18)
June 2 (rained out, rescheduled to August 5)
June 16
July 14
August 5 (makeup rodeo for June 2)

Rodeo Day Schedule:
5:15 to 5:45 PM: Peewee and Wrangler ground events (complete these as you arrive)
5:30 to 6:00 PM: Peewee Pole Bending and Peewee Barrel Racing in the arena
6:00 PM: All remaining arena events begin
Our goal is to have all Peewee contestants finished with their events by 6:30 PM.

SRC also hosts many special events during the Crook County Fair in late July. All fair events are held at the Crook County Fairgrounds in Sundance, Wyoming, and all entries are done online through SaddleBook. You'll need a free SaddleBook account to enter. New to SaddleBook? Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM
This rodeo is open to Crook County, WY residents only. Live in a surrounding county? You may be eligible to compete by petition. To qualify, you must have lived in a surrounding county for at least six months before the rodeo, and you must either attend school in Crook County or have a parent or legal guardian who owns property in Crook County, Wyoming. Complete the petition and mail it in before the rodeo.

Entry fees vary by event, from $5 to $10 plus stock charges where they apply, and there is a $10 office fee per contestant. See the full rules for the complete fee schedule.
The High Point Cowboy and High Point Cowgirl of the rodeo each receive a saddle certificate, sponsored by Sundance State Bank and ONEOK.
Entries close the Monday before the rodeo. All entries are done online through SaddleBook.
The Crook County Fair Youth Rodeo is sponsored by Sundance Rodeo Club, Crook County Fair Board, and Powder River Energy.

Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026, following the Crook County Fair Youth Rodeo awards. Roping will not start before 5:00 PM.
Format: #11.5 slide, draw pot, three head progressive
Entry fee: $45 per run, enter up (Entries are taken in person at the fairgrounds)
Open to everyone. Triad numbers will be used.
The Rodeo Triathlon is a timed event that combines three disciplines into one continuous run: breakaway roping, barrel racing, and goat tying. Contestants complete all three back to back for one combined time. It is fast, fun, and tests a wide range of skills.
Date: July 28, 2026 starting at 4:30 PM
Divisions: Youth (17 and under) and Open (18 and over)
Entry fees: Youth $75, Open $100, and $10 office fee per contestant
Entries are open until the event starts.

The Ranch Rodeo is a team event where four-person teams compete together in traditional ranch-style contests.
Date: July 28, 2026
Schedule:
5:00 PM: Team check-in
5:30 PM: Team rules meeting
6:00 PM: Calcutta
6:30 PM: Ranch Rodeo begins
Entry fee: $400 per team (4 person team) plus a one-time $10 office charge per team. Entries close the Monday before the rodeo. Limited to 10 teams.
Contestants under 18 may compete, but a parent or legal guardian must be present at check-in to sign a waiver.
The Ranch Rodeo is sponsored by Sundance Rodeo Club, Crook County Fair Board, Sundance State Bank, Powder River Energy, and C & A Meats.

The Youth Roughstock Rodeo gives kids the chance to test their grit on bulls, ponies, and sheep. Winners of each event take home a buckle, and payouts are available to contestants.
Date: Thursday, July 30, 2026, starting at 5:30 PM
Events by age group:
Ages 0-5: Mutton Busting
Ages 6-8: Bulls and Ponies
Ages 9-11: Bulls and Ponies
Ages 12-14: Bulls and Ponies
Ages 15-18: Bulls
Entry fees: $20 per event, plus a one-time $10 office charge per contestant
New this year: the Youth Roughstock Rodeo now has entry fees, which means winners take home buckles and contestants compete for payouts.
Entries close Sunday, July 26 at midnight, or when stock limits are full, whichever comes first.
