Start with one of these:

• Write about a teaching-related book you just finished
• Struggle from 1st year of teaching, and what you learned from this

• Awesome lesson or strategy
• What you’re thankful for at school/classroom
• A typical day in your classroom
• How you practice self-care or find balance as a teacher
• Goals for the year and check-ins on those goals
• Reflection at the end of the school year, semester, or calendar year
• Classroom set-up ideas
• Advice for field trips, classroom management, etc.
• Differentiation ideas
• Classroom music playlists

Blogging Tips:

• How long should your blog posts be?
  • Aim for 2-4 minute reading time.
  • Break up longer posts with subheadings.
• Add pictures, videos, links, etc to spice it up.
• Write with your own voice, don’t just try to copy someone else.
• Don’t fear the “publish” button! Done is better than perfect.
• Read and comment on other blogs.
• ...but don’t get caught up in all of that, just do it! Your writing will grow!
