Barry James was an avid runner most of his life.He was very active in the Hard Core Runners Club, serving as presdient for two years. While president he was instrumental in certifying the Sun City courses with the USATF. He also strove to increase activities for kids and co-directedfour "Fitness for Kids Marathons" with his wife Sarah.

Barry passed away in December of 2012 after a seven year journey with cancer and lived strong his entire life. He was an elementary school

teacher for 20 years
