Location Telemetry: SummitTrack collects precise and approximate GPS location data only while actively tracking hikes to plot your real-time trail path, measure elevation, and calculate route progress.
Account Information: When signing in via Firebase Authentication, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo to maintain your user account and hike history.
Emergency SOS Broadcasts: Coordinates and emergency telemetry are only transmitted when you explicitly activate the SOS feature.
Diagnostics: App performance data may be logged locally or through cloud services to resolve crashes and improve reliability.
3. Third-Party Services & Security
The application uses Google Play Services, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Google Maps API to deliver navigation and data synchronization. We implement industry-standard encryption and do not sell user data to advertising third parties.
