Summer Live (Low Intensity Virtual Engagement) Personal Project (SLPP) is a part of our "CONNECTED LEARNING" endeavour committed to the Philosophy of Inquiry in Concept Based Curriculum which is supported by a blended learning approach. The instructional designs created by our educators are focused on developing highly enriching learning experiences.
During the period 11th May to 12th June, we had our “Summer LIVE” engagements where our young learners from Grade 6 to 9 were engaged in SLPP. With the objective to foster the important approaches to learning within each of our students, age appropriate personal projects were chosen by each individual with the guidance of their teachers.
The SLPP engagements was an independent learning engagement. Learners were provided with a handbook detailing the learning process, user guide on creating a reflection journal, assessment criteria checklist to self check their learning progress. Each student was also assigned a mentor who guided them in their learning journey.
The SLPP culminated into an outcome, reflection journal and presentation by each student. Work submitted by the students would be assessed by their mentors and would form part of their report cards.
Please take out few minutes and share your thoughts after you have visited the SLPP work. Thank you!
