A two-day workshop for all instrument music educators who would like to learn more about:


The CAJ/SCSBOA Summer Jazz Institute is for any music educator (or future music educator) who wants to gain practical tools and techniques to address all areas of jazz education and learn from some of the most accomplished artist/educators around.  This year's faculty will include: 

Wayne Bergeron (LA Session Legend, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band)
Walter Blanding (Michigan State University and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra)
Barb Catlin (Pomona College and Cal Tech)
Mike Dana (Fresno City College, composer/arranger for Kendor, Alfred, and E-Jazzlines)
JB Dyas (Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz)
Jeff Jarvis (CSU Long Beach and Kendor Publishing)
Tina Raymond (CSU Northridge, Dir. of Jazz Studies)
Aarón Serfaty (USC Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble)
