AFBVC Supporting our Veteran Families Summer Campaign 2025 Policy
1. AFB Veterans Charity Core Objectives are:
a) To assist former serving members of the UK armed forces who are in charitable need as a result of injury or other harmful experience suffered during their service to resettle and rehabilitate into civilian life.
b) To relieve the needs of former members of the armed forces and their families.
2. All applications must have Verification of Service (VOS) and some form of Identification (ID), Verification of Address (VOA) and a bank statement for a month showing child benefit payments and a household income for a month that is under £30k, which must be uploaded onto the application form before submitting it. So please don’t apply unless you have VOS, ID, VOA and a bank statement showing the specified information.
3. Requests for grant funding are invited from ex-armed forces personnel with immediate family, including couples with or without children or single-parent families who can provide definitive proof of service and have dependent children living with them who are under 18 years of age
a. Application must be submitted online via our form below.
b. Grant must be filled in with the name and contact details of the veteran in charitable need (if this is not possible, please use the contact seasonalcampaign@afbvc.co.uk for advice).
c. Applications are invited from veteran's immediate families with children on benefits or with a total family annual income of less than £35k or from couples who have a total family annual income of £30k or less.
d. Only one application per family of up to £400 depending on whether there are any dependent children in the family.
e. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all details are attached to the application – a lack of details will make the application invalid.

g. On the application form you will be offered a choice of high street shopping vouchers – Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury or Morrisons.
h. All shopping voucher purchases must be in line with our charity policy – that no alcohol, cigarettes or fuel must be purchased with the shopping voucher, we supply and full receipts showing all purchases must be sent to seasonalcampaign@afbvc.co.uk, failure to comply will render you ineligible for any future campaigns or AFBVC grants.
i. Shopping vouchers will be processed and sent out by email the week commencing 21 July 2025
This Summer Campaign is capped at £20,000, therefore your application does not guarantee that you will be awarded a grant. The payment is subject to you meeting the criteria of the policy and that there are enough funds remaining if the demand is high. Therefore, all applications will be assessed and then granted on a first come first served basis.
The campaign will close on Monday 7 July 2025
