We will also be making our own balls out of newspaper and cotton thread!

Course Description
Come revive one of the oldest human activities and get a grip on the earth! Clay modeling makes use of our hands to shape meaningful and imaginative forms. Might the prevalence of fidgets be a cry for the healthy use of our hands in learning? Join Dr. Teresa Woods to experience how to in-corporate modeling throughout the curriculum, and in so doing, foster our students’ balanced development. We’ll practice making our own impressions on the world, while our hands instruct our minds as much as the reverse. In such formative play, modeling cultivates fine motor skills and neural development – even in adults! Come join – artistic expertise not required! This is a formative art.
