The Bucks County Community College School of Arts and Communication and Warrington Township Parks and Recreation invite Bucks student artists to submit proposals for a permanent outdoor sculpture to be installed at Lions Pride Park. Located on Bradley Road between Lower State and Folly Roads, Lions Pride Park is a popular community gathering place with amenities such as an ADA Playground, Chess Set, Music alcove, pavilion with picnic tables, picnic grove with grills, public restrooms, tennis courts and exceptional walking trails in a natural landscape.
The outdoor sculpture exhibition will serve as the focal point to guide visitors through the Lions Pride Park along its pedestrian trails near the Playground. This public art installation will enhance the visual appeal and community value of the park, helping to connect residents and visitors to Warrington Township’s dynamic identity while promoting the sculpture program at Bucks.
The submission is open to all Bucks Community College student artists aged 18 and over. Proposals will be reviewed by an ad-hoc selection committee composed of faculty and staff from the School of Arts and Communication, BCCC, and representatives from Warrington Township Parks & Recreation.
Dates for the exhibition will be May 15 – August 15, 2026. The public will vote on a purchase prize, which will be awarded at the end of the exhibition. The winning sculpture will remain in the park. Other sculptures will be returned to students by August 31.
Initial Proposals are due on 3/13/26 by 11:59 p.m.

Scale: Large-scale work is best for visibility in outdoor settings. Smaller works are easily lost in the vastness of the great outdoors. Base should be containable within a 3’ x 3’ space.
Durability: Consider how the material will withstand the elements, if it will require a maintenance plan (please describe how it will be maintained), or if it is intended to be a temporal work.
Safety: Work should be safe for public interaction and free of dangerous elements - no sharp edges, unstable/unsecured parts, toxic elements.
Installation ready: Work should be ready to install with minimal adjustments and include a detailed description of installation needs (rebar, gravel pad, etc.). A 6’ circular gravel pad will be provided for each work.
