Our Instructors

Dr. Patrick Ware

Dr. Ware is an internationally known Orff - Schulwerk clinician and choral conductor.
His
work and teaching
is a "can't miss."

Karen Petty

An Orff Specialist for 35+ years. Karen Petty loves working with people - tall and small.

This approved certification course of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association is a 10 day full-time course. It is based on the work of the composer Carl Orff and his colleagues who developed "Orff Schulwerk," music and movement for the school. Participants will explore Orff process, melody and rhythm, improvisation, pentatonic scales and bordun accompaniments. Ability to read music notation is a prerequisite.


Orff Level 1 Certification and Registration Fee - $875

  • This fee does not include cost of ODU graduate credit, parking, lunch, or cost of housing

  • Workshop fee includes a non-refundable $75 deposit. No refunds after July 1, 2022.
