Explore the Carleton greenhouse as you learn how scientists classify plants and animals! Put your observation skills to the test with fun identification challenges — can you guess the organism? 

Dig into the world of geology as you explore cool rocks and minerals! Then, create your own colourful crystal geodes using eggshells in this hands-on science activity. 

Oh no! Important items fell into the drain during the storm. Campers will use the given materials to design clever devices that can safely retrieve the lost objects from the storm drain without reaching inside.

In this two-part project, you’ll use your new 3D modeling skills to design a sustainable tiny home built to thrive in its environment. Then, bring your ideas to life by building a physical version of your house using creative materials and engineering skills! 

It’s food science time! Discover some tasty chemistry as you learn how popping boba is made, then create your own delicious bursting bubbles to snack on. 

In this glow-in-the-dark challenge, campers will use Micro:bits programmed as light sensors to investigate how the brightness of stars changes with distance. As they move farther from the “sun,” they’ll collect real data and discover why distant stars appear dimmer in the night sky.

Become a secret agent on a mission to crack open a hidden fault while learning how engineers create technical drawings! 

Ready, set, grow! Campers will step inside the world of a plant cell and race to help their plant produce as much energy as possible. Through an exciting hands-on challenge, they’ll discover how plant cells use sunlight, water, and nutrients to power life.

Campers will build their own glowing fuel level detector using LEDs, wires, and other everyday materials. As the “fuel” level rises, more lights turn on, just like the gauges engineers use in cars, planes, and rockets!

Welcome to the busiest restaurant in town! Campers will use LEGO Science kits to design and build their own restaurant and robot server. Using coding and engineering skills, they’ll control their robot to deliver food orders accurately and efficiently to hungry customers.
