Sumba Culture Trip is a cultural tourism trip that invites participants to know, learn and explore the ancestral cultural wisdom of the Sumba People as part of the identity of the Indonesian Nation.
The journey to explore the nature and culture of Sumba will be recorded, documented and aired by Sumba. TV through the program 'Sumba Culture Trip', where the participants will become HOST from their trip on Sumba, they will share their activities, experiences and memories during the process of knowing and learning from nature, culture and indigenous people on Sumba Island.

SUMBA
Sumba Island is an island in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. The area is 10,710 km², and the highest point is Mount Wanggameti (1,225 m). Sumba borders Sumbawa in the northwest, Flores in the northeast, Timor in the east, and Australia in the south and southeast. The Sumba Strait is located in the north of the island. In the east lies the Savu Sea and the Indian Ocean located in the south and west.
Administratively, this island belongs to the East Nusa Tenggara Province. The island itself consists of four districts: West Sumba Regency, Southwest Sumba Regency, Central Sumba Regency, and East Sumba Regency. The biggest city is Waingapu, the capital of East Sumba Regency. The city also has airports and sea ports that connect Sumba Island with other islands in Indonesia such as Sumbawa Island, Flores Island and Timor Island.
Before being visited by Europeans in 1522, Sumba had never been ruled by any nation. Since 1866, the island was controlled by the Dutch East Indies and later became part of Indonesia.
The Sumba community is racially mixed with Mongoloid and Melanesoid races. Most of the population adheres to Marapu's animistic beliefs and Christianity, both Protestant and Catholic. Small numbers of Muslims can be found along the coast.
