Sumathi Sivasubramanium did her PhD at IIT Madras under the guidance of Prof. John Augustine. At IIT Madras, she was associated with the theory group. Her interests lie primarily in Distributed Algorithms, more specifically the design and analysis of distributed algorithms (both deterministic and randomized). After her PhD she worked with Prof. Anisur Rahman Molla at ISI Kolkata in a post-doctoral capacity where she worked on fault-tolerance, and mobile agents. Her present research focus involves the exploration of mobile agents from a distributed computing perspective.
