Dr. Suman completed his Bachelor's in Science(Chem. major) from the Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2005. He then completed his Master's in Science (Phys. Chem. Sp.) from the same university in 2007. After completing his master's, he enrolled as a PhD scholar in the Theoretical Sciences Unit of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore in 2008. He completed his PhD in 2012 and joined as a Research Associate in the same institute from January 2013 to April 2014. He then moved to Germany in May 2014 and joined Institut für Theoretische Physik Universität Leipzig, Leipzig,Germany as a Post Doctoral fellow. He continued his post doctoral research till January 2022. He was later awarded prestigious Ramanujan fellowship in Physical Sciences from SERB, Govt. of India in the year 2021 after which he joined Amity University, Noida as a Ramanujan fellow in Feb 2022.
