The multifunctional Fe₃O₄–activated carbon (Fe₃O₄–AC) nanocomposite was successfully synthesized and investigated for electromagnetic wave absorption and photocatalytic degradation of textile wastewater. Electromagnetic characterization using a Vector Network Analyzer showed that the working absorption frequency shifted from 6 GHz to 6.8 GHz and the bandwidth increased up to 3.39 GHz, with all reflection loss values below −10 dB, confirming good electromagnetic absorber performance. Photocatalytic measurements using methylene blue solution demonstrated high degradation efficiency, where the best photocatalytic performance was achieved at an annealing temperature of 500 °C, while the best electromagnetic absorption performance occurred at 900 °C. These results indicate that Fe₃O₄–AC nanocomposites are promising multifunctional materials for both electromagnetic interference shielding and textile wastewater purification applications.
