Addressing the complex needs of ageing adults demands attention. Housing's role in the diverse built environment influences their quality of life. Amongst India's urban trend towards compact homes, concerns arise about accommodating the evolving requirements of seniors. As ageing in place intensifies, prioritizing independence, including postures, movements, and cognitive decline, becomes crucial. A promising solution involves integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technology into smart homes. These adaptable spaces cater to various activities through versatile spatial arrangements. The research extends elderly housing design by employing Tangible User Interfaces (TUI) with IoT, harmonizing physical and digital elements to create intelligent environments. Through testing permutations and prototypes, the research aim to gather insights into crafting spaces that leverage TUI's potential. Our goal is to advanced habitable design for older adults' needs and capitalizes on amalgamation of technologies.
