Integrating Molecular to Field-Scale Knowledge
in Plant Science for Sustainable Production!
I graduated with a Master's in Plant Breeding from the Erasmus Mundus Master's Program (emPLANT+), funded by the European Commission. With my proficiency in bioinformatics, molecular techniques, data analysis, and comprehensive knowledge of plant breeding and genetics, I am confident in my ability to make contributions in the field of Plant Pathology.
I conducted my Master's thesis project at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SLU), Alnarp, where I studied the role of the WRKY transcription factor in the early blight disease of potatoes caused by Alternaria solani. Through genome-wide analysis, bioinformatics methods and expression analysis, I investigated the role of WRKY transcription factors in early blight diseases by analyzing gene expression in Swedish potato cultivars and analysing gene function in Nicotiana benthamiana. Alongside my knowledge of molecular techniques, I have developed my expertise in utilizing bioinformatics tools. I am also an intermediate user of programming languages such as R and Python.
