Suhas Vijaykumar
Cambridge, MA / Miami, FL
I recently received my Ph.D. in Economics and Statistics from MIT, where I was fortunate to be advised by Victor Chernozhukov and Anna Mikusheva.
I am currently an Amazon Science Post-doc, where I work on experimental design under network interference with Guido Imbens and Thomas Richardson
In 2025, I will join the Department of Economics at U.C. San Diego as an Assistant Professor (tenure track).
My research interests range from econometrics and policy analysis to high-dimensional statistics and machine learning theory.
I am especially interested in studying how machine learning algorithms can be made more reliable and fair, and how to quantify their uncertainty, so they can help us answer questions in the sciences and help us make high-stakes decisions.
Outside of work, I love to play the guitar and I am passionate about rock climbing.
