Additionally, it's utilized in the production of paper, serves as an alternative to wood pulp, used as a component in building materials such as particle/chipboard and in some instances, used as cattle feed.
Molasses
- A thick, dark syrup produced during the sugar refining process. It's a by-product of sugar production and is used in various ways, including in the production of alcoholic beverages, as a livestock feed additive, and as a source of fermentation in the production of yeast. Molasses can also be used to produce acetic acid and ethanol.
Filter Mud
- Also known as press mud, it's a residue obtained from the filtration of sugarcane juice in the sugar industry. It's often used as a fertilizer due to its high organic matter content.
