Sugar Dusted Donut Dippers began in December 2022 when Jack and Liam were placed into the same group in the speech department. Jack, a musician of 5 years and Liam, a senior in the IHS Band Department, who can play a total of six instruments, quickly realized their connection with their love of music. The idea of a band has been in Jack's head for years but, since meeting Liam, they have decided to pursue their dream. The band was officially formed on June 29, 2023. Since then, they have been rehearsing together whenever they can, mostly during breaks from school as Jack is currently finishing high school and Liam is in the middle of his second year at college. They officially made their debut to the public by performing a cover of My Chemical Romance's "I'm Not Okay" and posting it to their newly formed Instagram in November 2023. Since the online debut, they have gained support from their family, friends, and peers. In January 2024, they officially released their debut EP "The Debut" which received great reviews from their audience and on April 26, 2024, Sugar Dusted Donut Dippers made their live performance debut at the IHS Guitar Festival at Independence High School Performing Arts Center in Bakersfield, CA. After their first show and even now, they continue to write music, rehearse whenever they can, and play live shows. The band's mission within their music and songwriting is to be a band that relates to their audience but, also believes in fantasy and having fun with their creative and comedic lyrics, in an effort to bring the world together and hopefully save lives of people who may be going through tough times.
