I cannot praise Sue highly enough as an older lady who wanted to learn to play the piano again after giving it up in my early teens, I found an entry on Facebook from Sue saying she had lessons available. Now over 2 years later I am still learning but have covered so much that I never believed I could do. I can sight read a piece of music, I am learning all the theory whilst learning to play many different tunes (not just scales which was my previous experience) and am currently, with Sue's help, composing my own piece. Lessons with her are fun but don't be fooled she does work me hard and helps me to achieve more than I ever thought I could. So if you want a teacher who makes the learning interesting and satisfying then I recommend you speak to Sue.

Sue is an amazing piano teacher. She worked with my son from the age of 5 . She recognised his gift for music. He has ASD and doesn't learn like most children. Sue took the time to understand him and would change lesson plans to get the most out of him. One lesson they were both led on the floor to recognise the beats of music. She is an incredible teacher and a wonderful human being.

I'm really enjoying my piano lessons and it's all down to Sue. She makes learning fun, whilst motivating me to practice and explore the more tricky elements of playing. Sue is very patient and takes the time to explain how the various exercises will help me to get where I want to be.
I've not been taking lessons for very long, but my playing is improving in leaps and bounds.

I cannot recommend Sue enough! I played piano as a child and felt I’d lost all my ability, however in such a short space of time Sue managed to tune into my way of learning and helped me to achieve what I never imagined I could. Through creative ways she managed to access the knowledge I already had and transfer this back into my playing. She has an incredible ability to understand a persons unique way of learning and also makes lesson time fun. She is warm, patient and authentic. Thanks Sue!

In 2021 at the age of 84 it was a lifelong ambition to learn to play the piano. Thanks to Covid I found Sue who has guided me through the technical challenges of online lessons and Zoom with ease. Her teaching style is imaginative, incredibly patient and encouraging. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for any age and any ability … I look forward to my lesson each week.

I have been having lessons with sue for 4 months now.
Sue has a fantastic ability to understand exactly what you need to do, to constantly improve on an individual basis.
Every single lesson I come away from I feel motivated and excited all week to be the best I can.
I am excited to see how far i can take my piano playing and knowing I have sue teaching and guiding me all the way gives me great confidence.
I can’t recommend sue enough.

Sue is an amazing teacher.
A year ago I purchased an electric piano not knowing quite what I wanted to learn. Sue was patient and listened to me and adapted my lessons as my knowledge grew or I found a piece of music that took my interest (even when I sprang it on her at the beginning of the lesson). Under Sue's guidance and encouragement I have even composed a short and simple piece, something I never thought I would do in my wildest dreams when I started.
The lessons are always fun and enjoyable and I always look forward to them each week.
