I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at University of Dundee, United Kingdom. My research interests are in the fields of Labour and Development Economics with a particular focus on skills and education, future of work, decent work, and social inequality. 

Before joining University of Dundee, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Public Policy at National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and Institute for Employment Research, University of Warwick, UK. I stay associated with both NLSIU and Warwick. I have also been a Marie Jahoda Visiting Fellow at Digital Futures at Work Research Centre, University of Sussex, UK, a Visiting Researcher at European Foundation for Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), Dublin and a Fellow at Global Labour Organisation (GLO). 

I completed my PhD in 2017 as a Marie Curie PhD Fellow at the Department of Applied Economics, University of Salamanca, Spain.  I have worked in several other research organisations and projects in the past such as Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi, Institute of Rural Management Anand, and Young Lives Project (led by Oxford University).

In a personal capacity, I have also served as a member of the Oxfam Great Britain's Policy Advisory Group from 2018 to 2021.
