I am a biochemist, biophysical chemist with experience of structural biology. I am keen to unfold the mechanistic key insights of amyloid aggregation pathway and the promiscuous role of chaperones in preventing the pathological self-assembly of amyloid beta peptides.
I am currently working as a DST Inspire faculty fellow in the group of Professor Sandeep Verma at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technolgy, Kanpur. (Since March, 2017)
I have carried out my postdoctoral research at Technion, Israel (Schulich faculty of Chemistry) on understanding the structure, function and mechanism of a small heat shock protein from a thermophilic cyanobacteria, T. vulcanus with Professor Noam Adir. (2014-2016)
My PhD mentor was Professor Swagata Dasgupta, who has introduced me in the field of protein aggregation using lysozyme and human serum albumin as the model proteins. (2008-2014)
You can find my research interest in details in the following section.
