Hello! My name is Sudeshna Bhattacharjee. From 15th February 2026 to 15th August 2026 I am a Senior research associate in probability at School of Mathematics, University of Bristol, working with Professor Márton Balázs, supported by his EPSRC grant 'Particle systems, growth models and their probabilistic structures'.
From 17th August 2026 I am going to join University of Maryland-College Park as a Brin Postdoctoral Fellow. My mentor will be Professor Ron Peled.
I completed my PhD in May 2026 at the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. My PhD supervisors are Professor Riddhipratim Basu (ICTS-TIFR) and Professor Manjunath Krishnapur (IISc).
I am broadly interested in probability, with a current focus on random geometric models. During my PhD I have worked on models in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class including random matrices, last passage percolation, interacting particle systems, directed landscape.
