Working Towards a Fair Contract

The SEA is still working on collective barganing agreements for two of its units, B and C.

Who are the members of Units B and C?

Unit B includes ALL support staff:

• Assistants (Kindergarten, General Ed, and Special Education)

• Tutors: ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Special Education, Literacy

• Lunch/Recess Monitors

• METCO Building Based Program Coordinators

• Clearical Staff : School Administrative Assistants, Administrative Assistants to the Principal, Student Services Administrative Assistants

The members of Unit B work directly with students, and provide the support that families, students and staff need to make each school day successful.

Unit C includes our custodians, whose roles and responsibilities go above and beyond. They take on not just the cleanliness of our buildings, but the more rigorous sanitizing protocols due to the pandemic, repairs, filter replacements, snow and ice removal, and ANYTHING else that needs doing.

The members of these two units are the REASON our schools run safely and smoothly.
