Jelly Goos

Average Lifespan: Unknown/ Impossible to tell

Appearance: Like all gooey creatures Jelly goos can come in many forms. The smaller the goo the less sophisticated forms it can take. The smallest stay as little lumps while the biggest can take on fully humanoid body shapes. Jelly goos are always fruity flavors that their colors and patterns typically reflect. Sometimes they even have chunks of fruit or seeds floating inside them.

Nature: Goos on Sucreterre have a peculiar way of acting and reproducing. They reproduce when multiple goos mush together into one lump and then break apart into multiple smaller goo creatures. When they are intelligent they often leave this process with fragmented memories of their parents. Sometimes though instead of breaking apart smaller goos may fuse and become a larger more intelligent goo creature. This process has been known to rejuvenate a goo creature and seemingly expands their life expectancy infinitely.

Jelly Goos are a playful but dangerous species. They love to play games and ask questions if they’re smart enough, but will also become easily irritated with people who try to leave or don’t have food for them to steal. The less intelligent jelly goos likewise can act playful but suddenly aggressive with anyone who stops to investigate them.

Magic: It seems possible for intelligent goos to use magic, but they rarely choose to demonstrate it. Their sticky flesh can have a variety of uses.

Diet: Jelly goos primarily need water to survive but also occasionally need to dissolve something with nutrients within themselves. They do not have many dietary restrictions so long as their food is not too acidic.

Location: Jelly goos love warm to moderate climates with lots of water. Swamps and damp caves are their favorite locations, but they can also thrive near lakes and ponds.
