I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Krea University.
I completed my Ph.D. in 2023 from the Department of Economics, Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in health, labor, and public policy. My work explores how health shocks affect household behavior, the impact of gender and institutional design on access to public goods like healthcare, and the challenges of ageing and elder care. Using quasi-experimental methods and nationally representative data, I aim to generate evidence that is both empirically rigorous and policy-relevant. My current projects span topics such as the mental health effects of hysterectomy, the role of female political representation in reducing gender gaps in healthcare access, and the potential of home- and community-based services to substitute for institutional long-term care. At its core, my research seeks to inform policy debates on gender, health systems, and ageing—particularly in the Indian context.
