SubSensei is designed to operate **offline**.
- **Media Files**: We do not upload your videos or audio files to any server. All transcription processing happens locally on your device using AI models.
- **Transcriptions**: Your generated subtitles are stored only on your device and are not accessible by us.
## 2. Third-Party Services & AI Integrations
We use the following third-party services and integrations which may collect information used to identify you or improve app stability. We remain responsible for ensuring these integrations comply with data safety standards:
- **Google Play Services**: For app distribution and updates.
- **Google AdMob**: To display advertisements. AdMob may use AI-driven systems to collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.
- **Firebase Analytics**: To understand how the app is used (e.g., install counts, active users). Data is anonymized.
- **Firebase Crashlytics**: To track app stability. If the app crashes, it sends a report with technical details to help us fix the issue.
- **Discord Webhook (Diagnostics)**: We send technical diagnostic reports to a secure Discord webhook to help us identify device-specific hardware issues (especially regarding GPU/AI performance). These reports include:
- Device hardware specifications (Model, RAM, GPU type).
- App performance metrics.
- Technical system logs (Logcat) filtered to exclude personal data and limited to the app's own activity.
- These reports are used solely for debugging and performance optimization.
## 3. Artificial Intelligence
- **Local AI (Whisper)**: All speech-to-text transcription is performed locally on your device. No audio or video data is sent to any AI server.
- **Third-Party AI**: As mentioned above, AdMob and Firebase may use AI models for analytics and ad-serving purposes. We ensure these services adhere to limited use and consent requirements.
## 3. Local Storage
The app requires permissions to read your media files and write subtitle files to your device's storage. These permissions are used solely for the functionality of the app.
