This Privacy Policy explains how SubTrackr ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
SubTrackr is a subscription management app that helps you track, monitor, and understand your recurring subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify, gym memberships, etc.) in one place. The App uses artificial intelligence to analyse your spending patterns and surface insights about your subscription costs.
We collect the following depending on how you sign in:
Email & Password: Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
Sign in with Apple: Your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide your email). We never receive your Apple password.
Sign in with Google: Your name, email address, and profile photo. We never receive your Google password.
This data is used only to create your account, verify your identity, and sync your subscription data across devices.
When you use SubTrackr, you manually enter subscription details including service name, price, billing cycle, and category. Important details:
Your subscription data is stored locally on your device first (local-first architecture).
It is synced to your secure cloud account (Firebase Firestore) so you can restore it after reinstalling or switching devices.
We do not sell, share, or use your subscription data for any purpose other than displaying it to you within the App.
Your subscription data is linked to your account and protected by authentication.
When you use the AI Insights feature (Pro only), a summary of your subscription list is sent to a third-party AI provider (Groq) for analysis. Important details:
Only aggregate subscription data (names, prices, categories) is sent — never your personal identity or payment details.
This data is processed in real time and not stored on Groq's servers after the result is returned.
We do not use your subscription data to train AI models.
AI outputs are delivered directly to your device and cached locally for up to 24 hours.
We offer Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Lifetime premium plans. All billing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store).
We never collect or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or any financial data.
We only receive your subscription status (active, expired, cancelled) to unlock or restrict Pro features.
We collect anonymous, non-identifiable data to improve app performance:
Device type and operating system version
App crash logs and error reports
General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)
This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
We use your information to:
Provide and operate the App's core subscription tracking features
Authenticate and secure your account
Sync your subscription data across devices after reinstall
Generate AI-powered spending insights (Pro feature)
Manage your subscription access
Improve app stability and performance
Respond to support inquiries
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

These services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
All cloud data is stored via Google Firebase with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 for Google and Apple sign-in.
The App communicates with all servers over HTTPS only.
AI-submitted subscription summaries are not retained after processing.
No system is 100% secure. While we implement strong protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Pro features are available via Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Lifetime plans.
All billing is handled by the Apple App Store.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device settings:
iPhone/iPad: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SubTrackr
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the App.
How to delete in-app:
Settings (gear icon) → Delete Account → Confirm
This will permanently delete your Firebase account, all subscription data from Firestore, your AI insight cache, and all local data from your device.
Please note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through Apple Settings before requesting account deletion.
You may also email us at workplace0331@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.
SubTrackr is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child's data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and data
Withdraw consent for data processing
Data portability — request a copy of your data

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our third-party service providers operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
