Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Subscan handles your data.

1. Receipt Processing — On Device Only

All receipt scanning and data extraction is performed entirely on your device using an on-device machine learning model. No receipt images, extracted text, or subscription data are ever transmitted to our servers or any third party. Your financial information never leaves your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it when contacting support.

5. Data Security & Retention

Your subscription data is stored locally on your device. Purchase history is stored securely by RevenueCat and Apple. We do not operate our own servers for user data storage.

Terms of Use (EULA)

By downloading or using Subscan, you agree to the following terms.

1. Agreement to Terms

This agreement is between you and the developer of Subscan only, and not with Apple, Inc. The developer is solely responsible for the app and its content.

2. Scope of License

The license granted to you for Subscan is a limited, non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.

3. Maintenance and Support

The developer is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for this app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to Subscan.

4. Warranty

The app is provided "as-is." In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

5. Limitation of Liability

Subscan is a personal information tool only. The developer does not provide financial or legal advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter or confirm within the app. The developer is not liable for any financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app, or for any loss of data due to technical failures, device loss, or app uninstallation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I scan a receipt? Tap the camera button on the main screen, point your camera at a subscription receipt or billing email, and Subscan will automatically extract the service name, price, renewal date, and billing cycle. Review the extracted fields on the confirmation screen before saving.

How do I restore my purchase? If you've purchased Subscan Pro and reinstalled the app or changed devices, tap Settings in the app and select "Restore Purchases."

Does Subscan sync across devices? Subscan stores all data locally on your device to ensure maximum privacy. Cloud sync is not currently available.

How do I cancel a subscription tracked in Subscan? Subscan tracks your subscriptions but does not manage them. To cancel a subscription, go to your iPhone's Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions and select the subscription you want to cancel.

Is my receipt data sent anywhere? No. All scanning and extraction happens entirely on your device. No receipt images or data are ever sent to our servers or any third party.
