Subly is a subscription tracker for Android. It is designed to work entirely on your device, with no account, no server, and no internet connection required. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your information.
Subly does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
The subscriptions you add (name, plan, amount, billing dates, category, optional split amount, and an optional payment label) are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. This data is never uploaded anywhere and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.
If you uninstall Subly, this data is deleted with the app. Automatic cloud backup is intentionally turned off, so reinstalling starts you fresh — the only backup is the manual one you create yourself.
Camera (optional). Used only when you choose to scan a payment card or import a receipt. Recognition runs on your device (Google ML Kit, offline). For cards, only the card brand and the last 4 digits are saved — never the full card number, never the security code (CVV), and never a photo of the card. Receipt images are read on-device to extract an amount and date, and are not stored. The app works completely without this permission.
Notifications. Used to remind you locally about upcoming renewals and free-trial endings. These reminders are generated on your device.
App visibility. To help you add subscriptions, Subly can check which known subscription apps are installed on your device. This check happens locally and the result never leaves your phone. Subly does not request the broad "see all apps" permission.
Because Subly has no servers and makes no network calls for your data, there is nothing to share. Your information is not sent to the developer, to advertisers, or to any analytics or third-party service.
You can manually export your data to a JSON file and share it (for example to Google Drive, OneDrive, or email) or save it to your device. These backups are created and controlled entirely by you. The developer has no access to them.
Subly is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new "Last updated" date.
