During 2022-2024 I worked as a University Teacher (Lecturer) at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. In the department, I am also a member of the Mathematics Centre for Enhancement in Education which is a team of educators passionate about enhancement of education in Mathematics engaging in activities to promote and support enhancement within and outside the department. During this employment, I have developed/participated in the following scholarship work.
Scholarly Activities at the University of Liverpool:
PAL Programme : Served as the Academic Lead for the Peer-Assisted-Learning (PAL) programme in the Department of Mathematical Sciences where Year 2-4 students help Year 1 students with their core modules.
Curriculum enhancement: Assisted staff members in enhancing a module delivery by introducing group activity, a question bank, authentic assessment, etc.
Welcome Days: Served as Co-ordinator and Organiser of the re-designed Welcome Days for year 1 and 2 students at the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
Learning Assistant Programme : Co-ordinated the Learning Assistant Programme at the Department of Mathematical Sciences where module leaders can request Learning Assistant(s) who will assist the students during the drop-in sessions; Learning Assistants (LA) are the students from the year above who have done the module in the previous year.
MathSoc : MathSoc is the Maths Society of the University of Liverpool which is a student-led society, supported by the Maths department at the university. I was the academic liaison for this and helped to gain momentum from the effects during Covid.
