A skilled Statistician and Teacher working in the area of Teaching & Research in Statistics since 2006. He obtained Ph.D degree in Statistics from the Department of Statistics, Ramanujan School of Mathematical Sciences, Pondicherry University, India, for a thesis entitled "Some New Life Distributions: Survival Properties and Applications" on 2018. Is a first class first Masters' degree holder in Statistics from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan India, on 2005. 

His area of research includes Distribution Theory, Survival Analysis, Reliability & Quality Control, Biostatistics. Served Department of Statistics, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, during 2006 to 2010 as a Lecturer in Statistics. Worked as a Biostatistician in Emami & Shrachi venture Health Institute, Kolkata, during 2010-2012. In 2013, he joined Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery, India, as a Lecturer in Biostatistics and worked there till July 2016. In August 2016, he joined as Assistant Professor in the School of Business, Alliance University, Bangalore, India and working there still.

Is an active Life Member of Academic/Research Organizations like, Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Calcutta Statistical Association (CSA), Indian Association for Productivity, Quality & Reliability (IAPQR) and Indian Society for Probability & Statistics (ISPS).

Besides regular Research & Academic activities, writes articles on Poverty, Peace and Conflict management strategies, Human Development, Indian Theatre & Performing Arts and Philosophy. He is degree and diploma holder in Fine Arts.

Hobbies: Photography, Writing Bengali Poetry, Painting, Classical Music.
