We are a Church of England church. The Church of England is the established Anglican Christian church in England.
The Church of England is divided into regions called dioceses. St Vincent's is located within the Diocese of Bath and Wells.
Beyond the diocese, we are also part of smaller administrative groups:
The benefice of Ashington, Mudford, Rimpton, Marston Magna and Chilton Cantelo, recently renamed The Ark Group.
The civil parish of Chilton Cantelo

A map showing England's dioceses. The pink area is the Province of York and the yellow area is the Province of Canterbury, which are both divided into smaller areas called dioceses.
As a small church, we join together with the other churches in the Ark Group for services. We now offer more regular services in our church with the arrival of our new rector, Revd Richard Horner.
The Ark Group meets at 10:30 every Sunday in:
First Sunday of the month: Rimpton
Second Sunday: Mudford
Third Sunday: Marston Magna
Fourth Sunday: Chilton Cantelo
When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, the Group meets at Ashington, usually at a different time.
To find out when our next service at Ashington is, please check the calendar on our homepage.
There are also other community events elsewhere in the benefice. For more information, have a look at our "Community" page.
Holy Communion is important in Church of England worship.
We are a friendly community where you can learn about God's love and share the good news of Jesus with others.
At the heart of the Christian faith is the belief that Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins, and rose to a new life. This gives Christians hope and a fresh start with God.
If you are unsure about Christianity or struggling with your faith, we are here to support you. You can receive guidance, prayer, and advice to help you on your spiritual journey.
We invite you to join us for worship. Whether you are new to church or a long-time member, you are welcome here. Come along to one of our services and find out more about Christianity.

Worship is defined as "an act that shows love or devotion to God". Christians worship in many ways, including prayer, reading from the Bible, singing hymns or attending Holy Communion.
You can expect all of these types of worship in our services. We generally follow a form of liturgical worship, which means that we use set prayers, readings and hymns that you can read in print during the service.
Many Christians value liturgical worship because it grounds them in a sense of regularity and tradition, because forms of liturgical worship have been practised for centuries.
Our services are usually between 45 and 60 minutes long. Please arrive about 5 minutes before the service to give yourself time to find a seat, and do stay afterwards to chat with other members of the congregation!
There's no formal dress code, but most people choose to dress in smart casual clothing.
Organs are used to accompany hymns and range from simple to large and highly decorative instruments.
