St Vincent's is a small church in the parish of Chilton Cantelo. We welcome everyone in the local community to worship, pray and visit.
The benefice (which includes Ashington, Chilton Cantelo, Marston Magna, Mudford and Rimpton) has a supportive community where you can meet new people and grow your faith.
The church and the surrounding area also have a rich history to explore.
To see upcoming services and events, have a look at our calendar. Events are marked with a yellow dot.
Please note: the calendar also shows British holidays and the Christian calendar. These are not necessarily events at our church, but are helpful reference points for the Christian year. There are also some non-Anglican holidays displayed which we unfortunately can't remove.
A new magazine is being developed for the villages of the Ark Group. It will contain local information and news and will be overseen by a team of six people.
The magazine will absorb the current Marston and Rimpton publications as well as Mudford's "What's On" leaflet.
We aim to produce our first edition in May, which will undergo limited circulation in order to gather feedback.
The workload will be higher during the planning, writing and first circulation stages, however it will likely tail off after that.
If you'd like to contribute to the community or enjoy writing and publishing, please contact me (Revd Richard Horner) at richardtherector@hotmail.com.
Important: please note that our card machine is currently out of use. We hope to resume normal operations soon.
We have installed a card machine in the nave which supports card and contactless donations. All donations go towards the upkeep of the church.
You can also donate to us online through this secure link.
Thank you for your support!
St Vincent's is located in the centre of Ashington, just a short distance north of Yeovil.
By car: avoid using our postcode on satnav. Instead, rely on Google Maps or simply input "Ashington" into your satnav. You will not miss the church; it is very obvious!
Free parking is available in front of the churchyard and on the grass opposite. Please ensure you are parked off the road and do not block any gates.
Public transport: unfortunately, our rural location makes access by public transport impossible
Active travel: we are situated on the Monarch's Way, so if you are walking this route, please do stop here and visit.
