Study Planner is built to help students plan tasks, stay focused, and track study progress. User privacy and data safety are core priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension handles, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Information Collection
Study Planner does not require account creation and does not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email address, phone number, or location.
The extension stores only the information necessary for its core functionality, including:

Productivity statistics and streak data

This information is created by the user and used only to support the extension’s features.
How Data Is Stored
All data is stored locally using Chrome storage APIs on the user’s device. The extension does not transmit, upload, or share this data with external servers.
To minimize storage and protect privacy:
Detailed data is automatically cleared after 30 days
Only long-term trend summaries and overall statistics are retained
Users can remove all stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage.
Use of Permissions
Study Planner uses limited Chrome permissions strictly for functionality:
Storage
Used to save tasks, goals, settings, and study progress locally so the extension works between sessions.
Alarms
Used to run focus timers and break timers and trigger reminders during study sessions.
Notifications
Used to alert users when focus sessions or breaks start or end.
Offscreen
Used to support background timer activity and alarm sounds when the extension popup is closed.
Unlimited Storage
Used to maintain study history and productivity trends over time while automatically clearing detailed records after 30 days.
These permissions are not used for tracking, advertising, or collecting personal data.
No Remote Code
Study Planner does not load or execute remote code. All scripts and functionality are packaged within the extension and run locally in the user’s browser.
No Advertising
The extension does not display third-party advertisements and does not use tracking technologies for marketing.
No Data Selling or Sharing
User data is never sold, rented, shared, or transferred to third parties.
The extension does not use analytics trackers, advertising networks, or external data collection tools.
Security
Study Planner is designed to operate locally to reduce privacy risks. Since data is stored on the user’s device and not transmitted externally, exposure is minimized.
User Control
Users maintain full control over their data:

Uninstalling the extension removes stored information
Intended Audience
