This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application StudyMate developed by Vinisha.
StudyMate is a student productivity and study planner app that helps users manage homework, notes, timetable, exams, flashcards, habits, focus timer, reminders, and study progress.
StudyMate does not require users to create an account.
The app may store the following information locally on the user’s device:
Homework details
Notes
Timetable details
Exam details
Flashcards
Habit tracking data
Focus timer records
Reminder settings
App preferences such as theme, accent color, and settings
This information is stored on the user’s device to make the app features work properly.
StudyMate stores study-related data locally on the device. We do not operate our own server to collect or store users’ study data.
Users may choose to export or back up their data using the app’s backup/export features. When users export or share data, they are responsible for where they save or share that file.
StudyMate may use notifications to remind users about homework, exams, timetable items, habits, flashcards, focus sessions, and other study activities.
Notification permission is used only to show reminders and app-related alerts requested by the user.
StudyMate may show ads using Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may collect and use certain information such as device information, app activity, advertising ID, approximate location, and ad interaction data to provide, limit, and improve ads.
Advertising data may be handled by Google according to Google’s own privacy policies and advertising policies.
Users can manage ad personalization settings through their Google account or device settings.
StudyMate does not sell users’ personal data.
StudyMate may share limited data with third-party services only when required for app functionality, such as:
Google AdMob for displaying ads
Android system services for notifications, reminders, and app backup features
These third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
StudyMate is intended to help students organize their studies. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If the app is used by children, parents or guardians should supervise usage. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable measures to protect user data stored by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Users should keep their device secure and avoid sharing exported backup files with untrusted people.
StudyMate keeps user-created study data on the device until the user deletes it.
Users can delete their data by:
Deleting individual items inside the app
Using delete/reset options inside the app, if available
Clearing app data from Android system settings
Uninstalling the app
Users can delete their local app data at any time from the app or from Android device settings.
Because StudyMate does not maintain a user account system or cloud server, we do not store user study data on our own servers.
StudyMate may request the following permissions:
Notifications: To send study reminders and focus timer alerts
Boot completed: To restore reminders after device restart
Vibration: To alert users for reminders
Foreground service: To keep the focus timer running properly
Advertising ID: To support ads through Google AdMob
Permissions are used only for the features described above.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
