• Currently in Kindergarten or First Grade at a NACS elementary school, or currently in 2nd grade but may repeat 2nd grade.

AND

• Struggles with doing reading or math at home, or

• Is falling behind in their grade (K-2), or

• In need of tutoring, but your family does not currently have the financial means to pay for a tutor.

UPDATE! Deadline for Middle School students extended to April 30, 2026.

Requirements to be in Study Buddy:

• Tutors - Minimum GPA of 3.5, Non-tutors - Minimum GPA of 3.0

• No conduct or truancy issues in or out of school

• Any experience caring, coaching, or tutoring younger children - can include your family members, neighbors, church, etc.

• A teacher reference submitted by April 30, 2026. Note: If you tutored more than 4 sessions last year, you do not need to submit a teacher reference.
