How to proceed

If you think The Studio can help you with your medical or scientific illustration needs, you can request a quote. You will be asked to fill out a form that details your contact information, your specific needs and your timeline. This will allow us to direct you to the most appropriate Studio illustrator.

We will contact you as soon as possible and set up a consultation. Once we understand your needs, we can establish a quote and give you a time estimate. 

Details can be further discussed, either in person or virtually. Once you are satisfied with the quote, you will be asked to sign an agreement. If you find that The Studio does not meet your needs, we can part amicably. If you do sign the agreement, you will be financially responsible for the project, as specified in the agreement. If you see the need to cancel the project after the agreement is signed, you will still be responsible for a portion of the costs; that, too, will be spelled out in the agreement.

Price Scale Estimates

The exact cost of the illustration(s) will depend on several factors,* that will be discussed with you before the final agreement is signed. As you can imagine, fees may vary a lot, depending on the complexity of the illustration(s), the expected work hours and the ultimate use and licensing of the work. Below are broad estimates – but please understand that the final costs can deviate from these examples.

• Simple black-and-white illustration: $300-600

• Moderately complex illustration: $500-1,000

• Complex color illustration: $2,000-2,500

• Animations and special projects: to be discussed with the illustrator(s)

*Pricing will be provided in the quote, after discussion with the client.  Quotes are customized for each project. Additional charges may apply based on project complexity or expedited timelines. Please note that extra charges may occur for revisions, rush delivery, or specialized requirements. All these stipulations will be included in the signed agreement.
