Here's a list of Chrome extensions that can be key to student success! Especially during this digital learning period, browser extensions are paramount to extend the functionality of Google Chrome, whether they serve as an organization tool, a task manager, or a productivity aid.

"Make sure to consider your outside of school activities like a job or sports or anything else. Don’t take on more than you can handle because struggling and getting worse grades in a lot of harder classes isn’t better than taking classes that you personally can handle" (Jordan Lesnick, 2021)
"Focus on classes that are within your interests. If you're trying to take APs/Honors solely for the bump, at least choose one you'd like -- you'll get bored and it'll be way too challenging if it's not in your skillset." (Meghan Van, 2021)
"Pick classes that you have a genuine interest for and that you know you can balance. Personally, I took 5 APs and there were definitely a couple classes that I regret taking but had to stick with. Junior year is stressful enough, so remember to consider the activities, sports, and tests you also have on your plate." (Jesus Perez Sanchez, 2021)
"I took 3 APs, 2 Honors, and 1 regular class last year and this was the perfect balance for me. Though I did stay up late studying for tests and exams, I felt like I challenged myself to a good level. I also was in 2 dance teams so half of my week was dedicated to dance. It’s a good idea to keep in mind how many extracurriculars you’re taking and if you’ll be able to do that along with the classes you’re taking." (2021 Student)
"go hard or go home!! don't hold yourself back bc youre scared of failing! taking these difficult classes could have an impact on your learning capacity later on in high school and even uni/college." (Karei Higgs, 2021)
"This may sound cliche, but choose the classes you want to take or that you like while remembering what your extracurricular schedule is. If you have a lot of extracurriculars with sports, theatre, hobbies, etc., then chances are that you may not have time for certain classes. Also, remember that AP classes have exams in May and the only span 2 weeks. So if you take 5 AP classes, you'll have to take 5 AP exams. I suggest taking ~3 AP/honors classes. Challenge yourself if you want, but don't overload yourself and then end up crashing and burning. Typically, I'd say to take 2 "easier" AP classes (because we all talk about what APs are hard and which are relatively easier) and 1 relatively more difficult AP class :) (+ maybe 1 honors class)" (Jennifer Liu, 2021)
"The summer before Senior Year" (Jordan Lesnick, 2021).
"College applications should be something that you should think about consistently from the start of high school; make sure you keep track of everything you do. You should start taking them seriously (build a college list, work on essays, get teacher recs) by your summer going into your senior year. It's important to begin research on colleges and career options early on-- it can save you a lot of stress and money in the long run. Also note that many colleges either release or recycle their essay questions before the application process begins. I was able to finish my UCs before school started so now I only have to worry about a few privates I'm applying to" (Jesus Perez Sanchez, 2021).
"NOT AS LATE AS ME THAT’S FOR SURE! I finalized my college list early August WHEN APPS CAME OUT, which was way too late. Do your research about colleges, supplementals, and majors each college offers WAY IN ADVANCE. Those resources are available to you!!! I’d say you should start planning and finalizing your college list in the spring of your Junior year." (2021 Student)
"RIGHT NOW!!! if youre reading this, START WORRYING!! the sooner you start, the better. everyone says you can take your time, but you need to get started!! then you can relax a bit more your senior year." (Karei Higgs, 2021)
"Spring of Junior year. Counselors may tell you not to worry, but think about your letters of recommendation in spring and send out brag sheets in summer and early fall of senior year." (Jennifer Liu, 2021)
"Plan out your time and give yourself enough time to do everything and relax. Don’t leave big projects until the last minute. If you can organize your work and start of anything that’s due first and work your way back. If you have a big project plan out and make mini assignments for yourself within the time before it’s actually due so you can break it up. Try not to over work yourself because you might burn out." (Jordan Lesnick, 2021)
"If you find yourself feeling stressed, reconsider if what you're doing is what you really want to continue doing for a year. Luckily, I found myself relieved going to cross country practice or to symphony rehearsals and didn't mine studying for subjects like Calculus BC. Obviously there will still be moments of chaos and doubt but the most important thing is to stay on top of it all." (Jesus Perez Sanchez, 2021)
"take some days to relax. set an "hours of operation". I stop answering texts and looking at my phone after a certain time... i'm not available at all times of the night, it's too stressful that way. Also, work hard... but if it's not done by 12: it's meant for the morning. get your sleep kiddo." (Karei Higgs, 2021)
"I use a planner to manage my time. It's always good to know when stuff is due.
In order to destress, I had study sessions with friends (because I destress by getting to the root of my problems, especially if it's for a test or something within my capacity to fix) or by going for walks/singing/drawing/listening to music (if I'm being stressed about something that I myself can't fix).
I believe that in order to do well on multiple AP and Honors classes, you need to know how you study best and be able to manage your time. If you're bad at managing your time, then it'll become a matter of how quickly you can learn concepts and how you prioritize. If you know that you're bad at history but you're taking APUSH, you should pinpoint why you're not doing well and either figure out how to improve either your study methods or try to figure out what kinds of concepts are tested (i.e. is it memorization? inferences? etc.)
In order to balance school and sports, I believe that you should always be communicative with your coaches & teachers and being able to prioritize. What is more important to you: your AP classes or sports? Does your time allow you to do this? etc." (Jennifer Liu, 2021)
"Don’t forget to have fun and go to school events!!" (Jordan Lesnick 2021)
"The best thing you can have is a group of good, like-minded friends-- one where you can destress but also push yourself to be better. Instead of competing with each other, you'll grow and succeed together." (Jesus Perez Sanchez, 2021)
"Don’t pull all nighters, it’s not worth it. Your working memory is nowhere near as strong as your long term memory, so make sure you grasp the content way before the morning of the test. I’d stay up studying until 2am at the latest." (2021 Student)
"AGENDA!!! stay. organized. it's a life saver!" (Karei Higgs, 2021)
"Junior year is only 1 small aspect of your life so don't stress too much :) You're all amazing people and you got this!!!
P.S. No filter: Junior year is stressful if you take too many AP classes. You may think your upperclassmen are joking, but they're not. It's a year where you have to manage time wisely on your own, but you'll get through it :))
P.S.S. I wasn't entirely sure what tone I was supposed to write this in so if I need to redo it, just send me a message if I could be of any help." (Jennifer Liu, 2021)
