This is a fast-paced, intensive refresher study guide course in the all four subject areas of the exam: Reasoning through Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies and Science. The fast-track course version provides a comprehensive review of materials in these subject areas and instruction in test-taking procedures.
Dear Students,
Before you start, make sure that you first watch the following video which serves as an orientation and explanation of how the GED exam is delivered. This is a good starting point before you start studying for your exam:
Prerequisites/Needs Assessment: Pre-GED or 11th grade academic equivalency.
Textbook and other Materials: GED Test Prep Plus 2022-2023 by Kaplan. ISBN-13: 978-1506277356 ISBN-10: 1506277357. You will need a reliable internet connection and a computer or mobile device to access the lessons. Some worksheets and courseware will be provided through the video lessons and here on this website.
Important Note for Students: Please be aware that this study guide was created using the physical, hard copy version of the GED book. If you are using a PDF version of the same book, the page numbers in this guide may not match exactly. While the content is the same, please use the lesson titles or chapter headings to find the correct information in your PDF.

Practice Tests
Click on the following link to practice with 4 different samples of the GED exam. This is how the GED exam will actually look at the testing center when you take your exam (with the exception of the calculator which is not functional and no "Answer Explanation" link is provided). These are sample tests and only contain 10 questions each, but it is enough to give you an idea of whether you are ready or not to take the exam. If you answer 7 out of 10 questions right on each test, you are very much ready to take the GED exam and likely to pass it.
