Strive Youth and Family Services (Strive YFS) is a licensed agency under the supervision of the Department of Children and Families (DCF). We partner with Community Based Centers (CBC) for placing foster children in our group home.

Residential Group home

The primary goal of Strive Youth and Family Services is to provide a foundation of experiences that fosters the growth and development of boys ages 11-17 in a safe and nurturing environment. Our trained professional staff will not only provide quality continuous life sustaining services, but in addition, also provide strong emotional support coupled by empowering & encouraging the youth to assist them in understanding and overcoming their personal challenges and adversities.

Founders 

Arthur and Shanita Hairston have over 14 years of experience with youth.  Both have taught children in the public school setting and care tremendously about children and education. The couple has experience with opening and managing a group home for at-risk young men ages 11 - 17. Strive Youth and Family Services, Inc. (non-profit organization) is now accepting young men ages 11 - 17.
