Q.  Hello, Cherries! I hope you're all doing amazing today. How does it feel to be back after 11 months?

[Hyejin]  This was a long wait for all of us. We've been working very hard in the practice room up until this point for Jammies, so I hope that hard work has been shown!

[Jihan]  It’s been a while, but we’ve all worked so hard for this comeback and I’m so happy that we’ve made it! The 11 months of work has truly paid off.  It’s been so fun working with each other to make this comeback the best it can be! I’m proud of our efforts!

[Evie]  I am so happy we are finally back! Those 11 months were really difficult for us but we never gave up on being Cherry Marmalade, we will be forever together. It was really fun preparing our new comeback and our first mini album, we can’t wait to show it to our Jammies!

[Nina] It feels absolutely amazing to be back after such a long hiatus! We've missed our fans, the energy of performing, and being in the spotlight. The excitement and anticipation are through the roof, and we can't wait for our loyal Jammies to witness what we have prepared for them.

[Venus]  This is actually my first time appearing with the group but I can tell the members are very excited to be coming back into the spotlight after many months. I'm excited myself also.

Q. That is so refreshing and great to hear, I'm sure your comeback will be a huge success. To everyone reading this interview right now, how would you describe your 1st mini album <Taste of Me>? 

[Hyejin] (While) being gone for so long, we wanted to show a new and improved side of ourselves. I like (to) think every song has done that for us, as that was the goal point. <Taste of Me> or TOM, for short, is us giving the audience a taste of us or even a new flavor! This is entirely different from our debut era. We've aimed to show our growth and keep everyone looking forward to more. 

Q. I see the vision your team has decided to put together and it sure worked out for the better! Based on the amount of time you guys have taken to prepare this comeback, were there some difficulties along the way? 

[Hyejin]  I think I can speak for all the members by saying it was a very sad period of time. It would be moments where I think, "are we ever going to come back?". But I didn't want to just sit and let  thoughts ponder so I start practicing to improve. 

[Jihan]  There was definitely difficulties! At certain points not all members could make it to practices, and we had to be flexible about it. We also had some unexpected changes along the way which affected many members, but we’ve overcome these challenges. 

[Evie]  This time was really tough for us as a group, since we faced a lot of problems. We tried our best to stay focused and with company’s help we could comeback stronger than ever.

[Nina]  Absolutely! Preparing for our comeback hasn't been without its challenges. Personally, I faced some difficulties with the dance formations during the learning process. I felt like I was holding back my fellow members, so I made a conscious decision to focus on improving my skills until I caught up with everyone else. It required dedication and hard work, but it was definitely worth it.

Q. I'm sure that whatever difficulties you face in the future, you'll be able to overcome it together as a group. Thank you for opening up about your struggles. Now, this question is towards Min Hyejin! Seeing that there have been member changes, how does it feel to see shifts among the group since the beginning? 

[Hyejin]  I've been here from the very beginning (and) seeing members come and go, I grow attachments to so many of them especially as (the) leader, but I have to say I'm very happy with our current line up. I'm in a team that's so talented and more like a family! I love all of them so much. 

Q. This is for Venus directly, we’ve heard you’re the newest addition to the team. How does it feel to be in Cherry Marmalade thus far?

[Venus]  I don't know how to feel actually. I've trained under Strive for a few weeks before being added, and it feels so shocking that I was added to my favorite Strive group.

Q. Now, out of all 4 songs in your first EP, which one is your favorite?

[Venus]  KYHU! (Keep your head up). This song is very adorable and it's perfect for CM. When I heard this was our b-side I screamed out of my seat!! Other then this song I really enjoy the title track also, it's very upbeat and refreshing.

[Hyejin]  Oh! This is a hard one but I enjoy Picky Picky a lot. I love the other songs but I feel Picky Picky took me out of my box. I'm used to being more cutesy, however, I guess I wanted to convey a more girl crush or cool side for Jammies, I hope they liked it. 

[Jihan]  My favorite (out) of the 4 songs is definitely Kka Kka. It’s such a fun and upbeat song! I really enjoy practicing it. 

[Evie]  Honestly, I can not decide! All of the four tracks are amazing and written by Cherry Marmalade and (our) CEO's (as well), so it means lot for us too. Picky Picky is truly amazing, we wanted to comeback with a fun, summery song that could make Jammies to dance and also show each members abilities. 

[Nina]  Among the four songs, my favorite would have to be Kka Kka. There's something about that song that resonates with me deeply. It has this joyful and carefree vibe that instantly transports me to the beach, which happens to be one of my favorite places in the world. It brings back cherished memories and evokes a sense of happiness.

Q. Last but not least, what are your messages to the Jammies who have been supporting you since the very beginning?

[Hyejin]  I hope the long wait was worth it and I hope you stay because we have so much more coming. This is only the beginning.

[Venus]  Hello Jammies! I know you are not used to me yet but I hope that I can show you my talents! I also hope that i can become like a friend to you all!

[Jihan]   Thank you so much Jammies! Being here and supporting us since the beginning means so much to me. You guys have been so patient waiting for us to comeback and I truly appreciate those who have never left our side! I’m so grateful for you guys!

[Evie]  A thank you is not enough for our supportive Jammies. I can’t describe how grateful I am for having an amazing fanbase, it is the reason that motivates to continue even more. Of course, new Jammies are welcomed and we can’t wait to talk with you!

[Nina]  To all our incredible Jammies who have been there for us since day one, we cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support. Your love, encouragement, and loyalty has been the driving force behind our journey. We hope you thoroughly enjoy our new songs and that they bring you as much joy as they have brought us during the creation process.
