Our institute

Our institute is located on the 7th floor of the Buys Ballot Building (https://www.uu.nl/en/buys-ballot-building).
The building is within the University campus at the following address:

Princetonplein 5, 3584 CC Utrecht, The Netherlands

Notice that, albeit everything in the city center of Utrecht is within walking distance, the University Campus is outside the city center. However, you may easily reach us via tram or bus. In order to look up local bus routes, please consult the NS website which can be found here.

If you are staying at the NH Centre hotel, you may take the bus 28 in the direction of the Science Park at the nearby Janskerkhof bus station. You should get off at the Botanische Tuinen stop. The bus ticket can be purchased onboard.
Once you get off, you may go inside the Koningsbergergebouw building (https://www.uu.nl/en/victor-j-koningsberger-building), which is close to the bus stop (in the direction of the 'reddish' Minnaert building). If you enter there, go to the first floor, and go always straight ahead and you should enter the Buys Ballot Building, where our institute is located – on the 7th, last floor.

How to get to Utrecht from Amsterdam or Eindhoven airport

In order to get to Utrecht from either Amsterdam or Eindhoven airport, you may consider the following options:

Arrival at Amsterdam Schiphol airport:

• direct Intercity trains to Utrecht Central station run every 15-20 minutes. Price ~ 10€ , duration ~ 35 minutes.

• Caution: except for the fast Intercity trains to Utrecht there are also so-called Sprinter trains to Utrecht. These stop in many little towns and the trip takes significantly longer. Whether or not a train is a Sprinter or an Intercity train can be seen on the screens in the Amsterdam Schiphol station hall or on the screens at the platform.

Arrival at Eindhoven airport:

• take bus 400 or 401 to Eindhoven station (~ 20 min.)

• then take an Intercity train to Utrecht Central station (~50 min.)
